St. Patrick's Day Parade 3-13-2010
I've never been to this parade. I knew they threw vegetables. I did not know that all these men/boys carried fake flowers around and handed them out. I also did not know that after you received one that u owed this person a kiss. haha!!! I was in the mist of telling this to a few people when several people started yelling my name. At first I thought I needed to get out of the way of a float but then I turned and this young boy was handing me a flower and then he proceeded to stand their and point at his cheek (of course he was waiting for his kiss). It was too funny!!!
Kaleb had a blast as usual. He really likes the parades and catching lots of goodies.
Oh, I sure was hot and could have broken out my shorts for the first time this year.

FYI, ROOSTERS DO ATTACK!!!
I grew up in the country and have been attacked several times by the different roosters on the farm. It is not fun and can be very scary. I remember when I was about 10 years old running all around and for some reason I remember running across the street and the rooster did not follow me. The last time I was attacked was about 3 years ago. Meghan & I were rounding up the chickens and the "mean" rooster and sure enough before I knew it...I WAS BEING ATTACKED!!! I was between two fence rows (so I was all caged in). Meghan told the the story to my parents and it is hilarious. She says, "My arms and legs were flapping everywhere in the mist of feathers flying everywhere". I didn't notice the feathers, but I do remember kicking my legs and swinging my arms like a crazy woman trying to defend myself. I also remember Meghan throwing me a stick to help me out. Very scary situation, but it is always fun to laugh about those memories of the rooster attacks.
Kaleb was also attacked by the rooster a few months ago and Nick had no clue that they can really hurt you. Kaleb has been scarred for life and I know he can't wait to go back to Folsom and not have to worry about the rooster. This is the reason for the post.
(Nick just started laughing and standing there. I had to tell Nick to help Kaleb!!!) Kaleb added this part
About a week ago my dad was doing something at the barn and the rooster came up from behind him and began attacking him. My dad ended up falling on the ground. The aftermath is one of the workers for the farm said that the rooster is still outside and he is spread across the back pasture (get it...he's obviously DEAD). Thank goodness!!!! YAY!!! NO MORE ROOSTER!!!! Kaleb doesn't have to worry about the rootser anymore
So I also need to share the facts:
As you can see in this video...roosters will attack for no reason. It was hard to find a video because most of the videos I found were one's where a person is taunting a rooster and then of course they are attacked.
I would also like to share this information that I found while trying to share how ruthless roosters are ( so now you will know 2 things about roosters that most people do not know. Here it is:
The rooster attacks because he feels threatened or to show you that "he is the man." Also, he attacks with or without protecting baby chickens
The rooster is often portrayed as crowing at the break of dawn and will almost always start crowing before 4 months of age. He can often be seen sitting on fence posts or other objects, where he crows to proclaim his territory. However, this idea is more romantic than real, as a rooster can and will crow at any time of the day. Some roosters are especially vociferous, crowing almost constantly, while others only crow a few times a day. These differences are dependent both upon the cock's breed and individual personality.

Finally, some warm weather!!!
It was warm outside, which was a huge surprise. Anyway, it was such a nice day to go to the park. Addison had a great time playing with Kaleb and Jordan had a good time throwing the football around. Joshua enjoyed playing on the play set and sliding on the slide.

Our house was being seen by someone so after the Bertuglia's left we headed to West End Park (Zephy's favorite park). Usually no one is around and so were able to let Zephy free to run and expend all that energy he has.
Then we finally climbed on top of the old foundtain. Nick and I had always wondered what it looked like, but we (especially Nick) had never attempted to go find out. The boys had a blast playing "it". I grabbed some shots.

Mardi Gras Day 2-16-10
It is really convenient since Nick's mom basically lives on the parade route. Otherwise, I'm not sure I could make it the whole day.
Kaleb had a blast and caught a ton of beads.
Miss Addison Grace caught a ton of beads & stuffed animals on her dad's shoulders. She did not want to take the beads off and only wanted to keep adding.
Wow, Aunt Sue is a real trooper. Not sure i would let my niece or nephew do this.

Aunt Sue painted Kaleb's face and Kaleb asked if he could paint hers and she accidently said sure later (what she didn't realize....he doesn't forget).
Jordans 1st Trip to MS & my last time sleeping in a 30 Degree House!! 2-13-10
We got to the house in MS around 1030pm on Friday night. We had stopped at Waffle House in Hammond and then we went to visit Maw Maw and Barbie's family and their new addition. Nick learned from David how to hold a baby like a football. Wow, David figured real quick how Nick would learn fast. lol.
Jordan and Kaleb had a blast playing together in MS. They had a blast running around with Zephy. Jordan was even interested in where we were gonna build our house.
