Nick Got a Job!!!

Ok, so Nick has a job secured.  Nick & I were both getting a little anxious. We have been believing that both of us would find jobs.  Since we have not heard anything we have been fighting a battle to stand firm on this belief for a job and trust God's promises, but at the same time he didn't receive any phone calls and he applied in about 5 parishes/counties.  So, we had heard a lot about the Middle school in St. Helena from other church members.  Oh, our church is in St. Helena.  Not 1 student passed the leap test this year and so the Recovery School District was taking over.   Nick was also believing for a better school than he came from, but we are not sure if that has been answered.   The school day is a little longer, but the kids  don't have school on Monday and Nick just has to work 1 Monday a month.  Pretty interesting and so thankful for a job.

Coincidences

Well, we met Kaleb on May 28, 2009.  We got Jordan on January 28, 2010.  We then moved on May 28, 2010 and Jordan also moved out on this day.  We legally became Kaleb's foster parents on July 15, 2009 the same day as my parents anniversary.  So, tomorrow we will be celebrating Kaleb's 1st Gotcha Day.

Only Seen in the Country!!

Oh boy lots of friendly creatures.

This momma decided to make her nest on our front porch in a bin
of belongings.  She has inconvenienced me because I can not
rearrange and organize the porch like I want, but I do check on
her often and today was the 1st day I saw Zephy trying to attack her
as she was trying to get out of the broken screen (which I also wanted
to fix to keep the bugs out).

Oh, this has been really fun to do and I really feel like
I've "gone country".  We have  a dryer  but it is gas
and we just need to take the time to convert it to propane.
This is the dump!  Yes, our neighbor has a big hole
and sometimes I think we use it more then him.
This cow enjoyed watching us dump our junk.
By the way...cows are very curious or should I say nosy!

Yep, you got it...cow bones!!!

Oh, Holly this one is for you!  My proof!!!
Horse and Buggy!!!!!
Not 1, but 2!!!
I have actually seen this before,
but have forgotten about these since I had been living in the city.

Kaleb enjoying taking a picture with the fire.
Uncle Will and Dad messing with Kaleb
Will and his buddy Zephy

We have seen many other animals too: wild turkey, fox, deer...i just haven't seen a snake lately.

We Have Moved!

"There are better things ahead than any we leave behind."  -CS Lewis

Let hope this quote by Lewis holds true.  Nick and I truly believe it will and I also know that the enemy wants to attack us.   So we are prepared for the enemy to attack!!!!

Bye Bye Focis St.  We've enjoyed you, but couldn't stay any longer because the country was calling us sooner than later.
